This season, I had the chance to combine two of my greatest passions—climbing and sailing—into one incredible journey along the east coast of the Peloponnese. Together with Romvi Catamaran and the team from YOLO, we set sail for a unique adventure, exploring some of Greece’s most stunning climbing destinations straight from the sea.
Our floating base was a spacious catamaran from Romvi, departing from Nafplio. From the moment we left the harbor, it was clear this would be a trip to remember. Waking up on the water, coffee in hand, with the cliffs of the Peloponnese slowly coming into view—it’s a feeling hard to put into words.
Our first stop was Leonidio, a place I know well and always love to return to. Seeing it from the sea gave a whole new perspective to its dramatic red walls. We spent a few days climbing some of the classics and enjoying the local atmosphere before continuing south.
Next was Kyparissi, a remote paradise with high-quality limestone, world-class routes, and a peaceful village vibe. The combination of deep blue sea, wild crags, and sailing between them made this one of the most memorable legs of the trip.

From there, we sailed further to Fokiano, a small bay with a white-pebble beach and a handful of beautiful climbing sectors just minutes from the shore. It felt like we had the whole place to ourselves—climbing during the day, swimming in crystal-clear waters, and sleeping under the stars.
Our final destination was Vlychada, one of the hidden gems of the area. Wild, isolated, and full of potential. The sense of freedom and connection with nature here is hard to match.
Throughout the journey, the Romvi team brought their energy, creativity, and passion for the outdoors, turning every day into a small celebration of adventure. Whether we were climbing hard or just relaxing on the boat after a good session, the vibe was always positive and open.

This trip was more than just a climbing holiday. It was a reminder of how powerful it is to blend different outdoor experiences—how sailing can take you places you’d never reach by car, and how climbing from the sea gives you a whole new relationship with the land.
Huge thanks to Romvi Catamaran and YOLO for making this possible. I can’t wait to do it again.
If you’re a climber looking for a new kind of adventure, keep an eye out—we’re just getting started.
